PRINCIPALACCOUNTABILITIES
? Play an active role in the project team by contributing creative ideas aimedat designing and developing healthcare IT solutions (e.g. CDS, EMR,Tele-medicine systems, etc.) for hospitals to help enhance their efficiency andthe quality of their healthcare service. Creative ideas should result in patents that protect potential future expansionof our healthcare business.
? Design and implement solutions, incollaboration with hospitals.
? Test your solutions in a hospitalsetting.
? Be up-to-date, and understand, existingliterature in specific area assigned to you. Ensure creative ideas aresupported/build on existing literature. Literature reviews and outcome ofexperiments to be produced by candidate are made available to the Philipscommunity in the form of Technical Reports.
? Actively collaborate with colleagues inPhilips that are working in related fields and assist your colleagues, both inChina and abroad, by sharing/discussing your insights.

? Carry out industrial research inclinical informatics and clinical decision support, enlarging relevantknowledge and bringing-in new knowledge
? Pro-actively make knowledge availablefor operational use within Philips to contribute to successful transfers ofresearch results to the businesses.
? Keep abreast of technical, applicationand market developments in the relevant technological and industrial areas,showing interest in the business aspects

More specifically:
? Defining, modeling, realizing,monitoring and analyzing clinical workflows.
? Or designing and developing clinicaldecision support (CDS) systems or tools for clinical professionals.
? Clinical validation of the developedsolutions in forms of the validation though the clinical practice and alsoclinical trials. Practical experience in setting up or conducting a clinicaltrial is an added value.
JOBREQUIREMENTS
Education
? Master degree or PhD in Biomedicalinformatics, biomedical engineering, Computer Science orrelevant disciplines.Thepublications in renowned international journals will be a strong plus.
Experience
? Working with medical professionals ordeveloping medical information systems
? Havingknowledge and understanding of basic Clinical informatics concepts such as EMR, workflow, CDS, connectivity;Workexperience in IT department at the hospital, or experience with Healthcare ITsystem application/implementation is a plus.
Competency and Skills
? Drive, entrepreneurial behavior, resultoriented and quality driven.
? Excellent communication skills
? English language skills to at least CETlevel 6.
? Positive mindset
? Strong programming skills (OOP,web-based programming and database)
